School of the Arts (SOTA)

School of the Arts (SOTA) is a specialized independent school offering a unique pre-tertiary education for youths aged 13-18 who aspire to pursue careers in the arts. Established in 2008, SOTA provides a six-year integrated arts and academic curriculum leading to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or Career-related Programme.

SOTA offers specialized training in six art forms: Dance, Film, Literary Arts, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts. Each course is designed to develop students' understanding, expression, and mastery in their chosen art form. The curriculum also emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, exposing students to the full range of art forms and encouraging them to make connections across disciplines. The Arts Excellence Programme (AEP) provides additional opportunities for students who demonstrate outstanding artistic capacity, offering advanced learning through masterclasses and overseas programmes.

As a specialized school, SOTA does not participate in the Secondary 1 Posting Exercise and does not have a PSLE score range. Admission is primarily through the Direct School Admission (DSA) exercise, where students are assessed based on their artistic talent and potential.
