Nan Chiau High School (NCHS) is a co-educational, government-aided Special Assistance Plan (SAP) secondary school located in Sengkang. Founded in 1947, NCHS is affiliated with the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan and is recognized for its strong bilingual and bicultural education, nurturing students who are proficient in both English and Chinese language and culture. The school’s mission is to broaden the minds of students, nurturing bicultural learners who lead, serve, and inspire.

NCHS offers Direct School Admission (DSA) through Visual Arts, welcoming both boys and girls with demonstrated talent and passion in art, design, and media. Successful DSA applicants in Visual Arts will join the Visual Arts Club as their CCA and will be offered the Enhanced Art Programme (EAP) at upper secondary, taking Art as an O-Level subject. The EAP at Nan Chiau High is a two-year upper secondary programme (Sec 3–4) designed for students with a keen interest and ability in art. The EAP features an innovative curriculum with real-world connections, collaborative learning, and exposure to creative industry partners. Select lower secondary students are invited to join the school’s Art Talent Programme (ATP), where they attend enrichment activities and develop their artistic skills, preparing them for the EAP in upper secondary.

For the 2024 intake, Nan Chiau High School’s PSLE score range for the Express stream is 5–10. All students enrolled at NCHS will read Higher Chinese Language as part of its SAP status.
